Transitioning into Adulthood.

(Editorial or looking at a bee above my head?)
I'm 22 and can no longer justify wearing leggings as pants since I'm not dragging my butt to a 9AM class... so what do I wear? The good thing is that I no longer have to try and blend in with people who always wear sweatpants. Graduating from college actually allows me to try more styles out. These are some outfits that I wear on the weekends around San Francisco!

1.  M Y  C O M F O R T  Z O N E.
JUMPSUIT - UO (Similar)  //  CARDIGAN - UO (Similar)  //  BRALETTE - HANKY PANKY
This outfit is great for happy hour or a late brunch. The muted green cardigan covers up open skin if it's cold, but can be taken off when the sangria hits you. The ability to dress up or down anywhere is helpful when you are not sure about a restaurant's atmosphere! Also, don't be afraid to try on a jumpsuit if you are pear-shaped or have short legs. The high-waist makes my legs look so much longer while highlighting my behind- which is big trend today :P

2.  P R E T E N D I N G  T O  B E  A  K A R D A S H I A N.
MIDI KNIT DRESS - FOREVER 21 (Similar) // PURSE - KATE SPADE // NECKLACE - ARE YOU AM I
Nude is the color I think of when I imagine a sophisticated (yet maybe a little sexy) young woman. I would wear this on a date or a whole day of shopping & dinner with friends.

3.  F O R E V E R  I N - S T Y L E.
SHIRT - UO  //  BOYFRIEND JEANS - UO
At first, I avoided boyfriend jeans like the plague because they made me look so much chubbier. But I figured out that if you buy boyfriend jeans 1 - 2 sizes down, they are not so wide and still have the same effect aesthetically.

4.  G O  W I T H  T H E  F L O W.
TEE - BRANDY MELVILLE  //  MAXI SKIRT (Bronze) - UO
I don't know why I have been obsessed with burnt orange this season (probably because of all the festivals). Since I'm short, I had to roll the waistband of the skirt once!

CHELSEA BOOTS (Cherry Red)- DR. MARTENS  //  LACE-UP FLATS (Bone) - LOUISE ET CIE //  SANDALS - BIRKENSTOCK  //  HEELED BOOTS - ASOS (Better Version)
The shoe panel. I wear these at least once a week. I am obsessed with pointed shoes now!

It is definitely fun to dress up now instead of always looking like a bum. Unfortunately, even though I'm starting to dress the part, I am still a little immature.. I would classify my current style as minimalism with occasional pops of color. Hopefully soon I'll show you how I translate my style into the work place!

Until next time,
