Me, Myself, and I.

BIKINI - PACSUN / SUNGLASSES - FREE PEOPLE

I have finally graduated college, so what's next? It has been a long time since I posted a blogpost, but I am determined to update dressingthecupcake once a week in my free time, so follow me on my (style) journey in the real- life, "adult world."

Graduating is so surreal because there are no longer any predetermined steps given to me for "what's next?" In college, my professors, clubs, and social life dictated how I lived and behaved. However, now that it is all over, I have been forced to think, "What do I want? Where do I want to go? Who am I really?"

Feeling lost is natural at this moment, especially since the future is so uncertain. But it could also be seen as an exciting adventure. I mean, soon I could be anywhere in the world and learning something new and completely unexpected.

So, what's next for me?
  • Move to a big city - that hopefully sells bay shrimp at the grocery store.
  • Learn as much as I can to get a job where I can learn even more hahah.
  • Never forget my love for clothing and accessories a.k.a. never stop shopping.
  • Live on my own (with roommates of course), decorate my own space, and finally, organize my wardrobe.
  • Go to the gym weekly- figure out how to use weight machines on my own and attend cycling or cardio barre classes.
  • Cook healthy food on weekdays- maybe learn how to make Indian food.
  • Catch up on my guilty pleasure show- Bachelor/ Bachelorette when working on my blog.
  • Connect with old friends and meet new people.
  • Get a french bulldog (or a furry cat).

If you are scared to dive into the deep end like me, make your own list. It could never hurt and can always be added to. I don't know what is in store for me in the near or even far future, but it's ok. Not everything happens instantaneously (<-- what movie is that from? ;)), and the best things in life are worth waiting for. From now on, I am going to focus on making opportunities for myself and becoming truly self-sufficient. I hope to, one day, achieve my dreams and become my best self

Until next time,

Lauren the Cupcake
